Directivos se reunieron con la Ministra de Minas y Energía.

Nuestro presidente, Charles Burgess, en compañía del Director Administrativo, Manuel Castellanos, se reunieron con la ministra de Minas y Energía, Irene Vélez. El encuentro se produjo a instancias de la Asociación Colombiana de Minería , ACM, que celebró su cena de fin de año con directivos y afiliados. Allí, conversaron sobre el estado de la minería de esmeraldas, los retos presentes y la proyección de crecimiento de la industria.

 

En dicha reunión, se le recordó a la ministra nuestro compromiso con el desarrollo de una minería social verde, responsable y segura, que siga trayendo bienestar a las comunidades, progreso al occidente de Boyacá y ayude al crecimiento de la economía nacional. También, se le manifestó que tenemos toda la voluntad para trabajar de la mano con el Gobierno para seguir promoviendo y mejorando la industria esmeraldífera y la extracción minera.

 

La ministra, se mostró satisfecha y complacida con el encuentro, augurando buenos tiempos para la minería de esmeraldas y reconociendo el trabajo que desde las Compañías Muzo Colombia venimos desarrollando.
